End the genocide! Solidarity with Palestine!

Israel's crimes against the Palestinian people have reached unprecedented proportions, amounting to a real genocide in the Gaza Strip, with hundreds of people killed by Israeli bombings and continuous military attacks, the blockade on the entry of drinking water, food, medicines and other essential goods, the use of hunger as a form of aggression against the population, the systematic and complete destruction of homes, hospitals and other basic infrastructure, the proclaimed purpose to militarily occupy the entire territory and expel the Palestinian people from their land, Palestine.

On the results of the early parliamentary elections of May 18

On the results of the early parliamentary elections of May 18

In this election campaign, in this fight for everything that matters in the lives of the workers, the People, the youth and the Country, we affirmed the CDU as a force of courage, seriousness and confidence. We salute the activists of the CDU, and in particular our fellow coalition members the Ecologist Party “The Greens” and the Intervenção Democrática Association.

PCP salutes the 80th. anniversary of the Victory over Nazi-fascism! No to militarism and war! For peace and co-operation!

Today, May 9th., marks the 80th. anniversary of the Victory over Nazi Fascism. Following the surrender of Nazi Germany in Berlin, millions of people took to the streets on May 9, 1945, to celebrate the end, in Europe, of the deadliest war in the history of Humanity. Unleashed by the fascist powers - Nazi Germany, fascist Italy and militarist Japan - World War II would end months later with Japan's capitulation on September 2.

COP 28 – The energy transition must be fair, it cannot perpetuate inequalities

30 November 2023

The 28th. Conference under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP) will take place from November 30 to December 12, in Dubai. The urgency of responding to environmental problems and the clash of interests at stake have given the COPs increased importance, which, however, has not prevented insufficiency in establishing global reduction targets for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Gathering for Peace in the Middle East and for the rights of the Palestinian People

Gathering for Peace in the Middle East and for the rights of the Palestinian People

29 November 2023

This act is important because it is a symbolic act on the International Day of Solidarity with Palestine, but also to enable us not to forget what happened and is happening: the massacre of the Palestinian people. What a suffering people, with thousands and thousands of deaths in an unjust war.

Gathering of workers in the Assembly of the Republic, CGTP-IN

Workers demand a fight against the rising cost of living. They demand an increase in wages, the right to housing and healthcare

29 November 2023

The general increase in wages is the central issue that appears everywhere today. It is in the public sector, it is in the private sector. Workers are here demanding a fight against the rising cost of living, no one can bear anymore the rising cost of living. It is a very fair demand. These people make the country work, create wealth, make the economy work. There is wealth created, there are profits and there is money, what is needed is for it to be better distributed. The State Budget corresponds to an orientation contrary to what these people here demand.

More inequalities and injustice in the lives of the workers and people. This is the legacy of the absolute majority of the PS

29 November 2023

It is unusual for the budget debate to end when the Government's resignation has been announced and early elections are scheduled. It is politically significant that, both the PS or right-wing parties, advocate the approval of a budget that will not improve the lives of the workers and people, nor will it ensure better public services, nor more fiscal justice (regardless of the sense of their vote in a few minutes), but there are those who will continue to gain and a lot with the options included in it – the capital, hence so much interest in saving it.

«Just as the PCP warned the absolute majority of the PS brought neither political nor social stability»

25 November 2023

The national situation is marked by the resignation of the Prime Minister, triggered by judicial investigations involving the current Government. Much is being said about this matter, but what is necessary is a quick clarification and determination of responsibilities and facts, with all the consequences that arise from this.
