In view of the already known results of the October 18 elections in Bolivia, the PCP conveyed to the Movement for Socialism (MAS), as well as to the Communist Party of Bolivia, warmest congratulations on the election of Luis Arce as President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, as well as the victory of MAS and of the popular forces in the legislative elections, with the achievement of a majority in both chambers of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly.
In its message, the PCP considered that the expressive victory now achieved at the polls by MAS and its allies confirms the profoundly anti-democratic and anti-popular nature of the violent coup d'état of November 2019 carried out by the reactionary forces, with the support of imperialism, against the legitimate government of Evo Morales. A victory that, for the PCP, reaffirms the will of the Bolivian people to continue the process of sovereign affirmation and social progress in Bolivia, and gives confidence to the struggle of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean and of the world.
Reaffirming its solidarity with MAS and the Communist Party of Bolivia, the PCP urges respect for the popular will expressed at the polls by the Bolivian people.
