The Portuguese Communist Party expresses its solidarity with the workers and people of Tunisia and their struggle against the enormous increase in prices of essential goods and against the worsening of the unemployment situation, the increase in layoffs, poverty and profound social inequalities.
The Tunisian situation in indissoluble from the deepening of the crisis of capitalism and brutal offensive against the rights of workers and peoples that is taking place all over the world.

Independently of the subsequent developments in a situation characterized by great uncertainty and instability, the evolution of the struggle of the youth and the Tunisian people demonstrates that through struggle and mobilization of the most ample popular masses it is possible to resist the attempt of historic regression of the rights of workers.
