The PCP strongly condemns the Trump administration's unacceptable decision to re-include Cuba on the arbitrary US list of so-called “State Sponsors of Terrorism”.
Cuba should never have been included on this illegitimate list, especially when it is the US that has for decades been promoting a terrorist policy against the Cuban people and their socialist revolution.
Is therefore even more important to demand an end to the criminal and illegal economic, commercial and financial blockade, as well as all the other coercive and extraterritorial measures imposed by the US on Cuba, which are aimed at harming its economy and the living conditions of its people.
The PCP salutes the just and courageous struggle of the Cuban people in defence of their sovereignty and rights, as well as the action of the solidarity movement with Cuba and the reiterated position of several countries demanding that the US respect the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law.
Reaffirming its condemnation of the action of interference, destabilisation and aggression promoted by the US against Cuba, the PCP calls for the development of solidarity with the Cuban people who, like all the peoples of the world, have the right to sovereignly decide their path of development and social progress.
