PCP's Central Committee, meeting on October 31, 2016, analysed the political situation and the development of the mass struggle, and examined aspects of the Party’s activity, strengthening and political initiative and also of the preparation of the XX Congress.
20th Congress of the PCP

The Central Committee of PCP met on 4 and 5 March and decided that Almada's municipal sports centre (Complexo Municipal dos Desportos – Cidade de Almada) will be the venue for the XXth Congress on 2, 3 and 4 December 2016.
National Action "Employment rights, production and sovereignty - Patriotic and Left-wing Alternative”

PCP launched on the past 29th, a National Action directed to the workers and people. This action will be accompanied by a poster and a national leaflet, and will carry out a set of initiatives among which a cycle of thematic debates addressing the issues of Social Security, Fiscal Justice, support for children and families, Precariousness, public investment and national production , and Housing.
