Tom Leher, the North-American crooner and humorist, famous during the 50’s and 60’s, for his progressive satiric songs. He gave up singing some years later. Whilst asked about the reasons why, he stated “ satiric policy became obsolete on the day when [ at the end of the Vietnam war] the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Henry Kissinger”. Since then, the absurd procession has gone through a long way.
At the close of the G20 Summit, in Australia, Obama, another Nobel Peace Prize, president of the most warfare power on earth, the performer of all the great invasions, aggression wars and subversions, leading to “the change of regime” during the last decades, stated, during a press conference, :”We hold a very firm position on the need of preserving fundamental international principles. And one of them, is that we do not invade other countries, nor finance agents, nor handover supports which might lead to a country dismantlement which holds democratic elections’ ‘mechanisms.”(in Reuters, 2014.11.16). Obama’s outstanding statement, delivered in a moment when USA’s troops return to Iraq, was addressed against Russia, and a reference to Ukraine. A country in which the USA government invested 5 thousand million dollars financing subversion, according to Victoria Nuland, the USA vice-secretary of state, who publically confessed, whilst delivering a speech before a business men audience, in Washington, on the December13,2013. Subversion, which ended up in a coup d’état, throwing down Yanukovitch, the president elect, two months later, and having contributed for the ascending of fascism and the country’s dismantlement and destruction ( elections were to be in 2015). The imperialist powers’ leaders seem not to fear the absurd. It is not but reality that denies Obama’s words. It is Obama himself. During that same press conference, he threatened: “ We have already told the Syrian regime, that when we attack ISIL within its [ Syria’s] own aerial space, and the best they can do is not to interfere “. The only “ fundamental international principle” which the USA’s imperialism is acquainted with is simple: the whole planet belongs to them. And whoever crosses our way must be aware.
The world’s imperialism leaders’ verbal impunity is the result of its control over a submitted and docile media. As it always happens, concerning the international great issues, wars and imperialist aggressions, the regime media G20 Summit coverage, followed a self procedure book. And that also does not fear the absurd. As many others, the British newspaper, The Guardian, titled: “ Vladimir Putin abandoned the G20 upon many leaders having lined up to attack him concerning Ukraine” (2014.11.16). But whoever resists and reads this same article to the end discovers that: “ Although the western media described Putin as being an isolated figure within the Summit, he carried on forging alliances ( proximity relations) with the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), an ensemble which has become more organized within the G20 and that, in economic terms, is nearer the G7 economies’ dimension”. In what concerns demographic terms, it corresponds to more than 40% of Humanity, against around 10% for the G7.
More and more, there exist less relation between reality and the imperialist powers main leaders public statements. This disconnection is not new. But currently, the limits of the absurd are to be over-passed. It is not a sign of strength , but instead, of weakness. And therefore, this fact reflects that the old capitalist powers, in crisis, have nothing to offer their peoples, but misery and war. Unconfessable, reality ought to be purged from the official ought to be cleared from the official speech.
