PCP saluted the Communist Party of Argentina on their victory as members of the electoral coalition Everyone’s Front (Frente de Todos), on October 27th, returning hope to the Argentinian workers and people, victims of violent neoliberal practices, brutal social regression and pillage, imposed over the last four years by President Macri and the IMF.

For PCP, the victory of Frente de Todos, namely with the election of Alberto Fernández and Cristina Kirchner as president and vice-present, «assumes a great importance for the Argentinian people and their struggle for real change in policy that answers and solves their pressing needs and problems, and that achieves their rights and aspirations» and represents an «important contribution for the resistance and struggle of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean, who face the violent revanchist offensive of US imperialism and of the reactionary Latin-American oligarchies, who don’t hide their sinister aims of exploitation and oppression».

In its message, PCP affirmed the solidarity of Portuguese communists with the struggle of the Communist Party of Argentina and other progressive forces in Argentina to achieve a new path of sovereignty, social progress, peace and cooperation for the Argentinian workers and people.
