Palestine is the central issue within the Middle East. For a long time, specially upon the recognition of the Palestine Freedom Organization as the only and legitimate representant of its people, the Palestinian national problem solution regarding the building of an independent and sovereign state, in the occupied Palestine territories by Israel, since 1967, is considered as an indispensable condition for a just and lasting peace within this martyr region. For the social and peace progressive forces, this is an issue which principle consists in the defence of the right for each people choose their own development path. A principle which has been expressed in international law and had as an outcome the approval of resolutions by the UN and that Israel never respected. But if there were a reason to believe that the solution of the Palestinian problem peace ought never to be achieved in the Middle East, is the Palestine people’s struggle, long and heroic, having resisted to the worst barbaria committed by the Zionist and imperialist state terrorism, proved by the captivity to which it is submitted within its own mother-land – in Gaza, West-Bank, Jerusalem – or in the Diaspora, an identity and unity which has been admired throughout the world.

All this is about Israel elections, in which Natanyahu’s party, the responsible butcher for the tragedy fallen upon Gaza’s population a few months ago ( and withdrew before the heroic resistance which provoked heavy casualties to the invader and international solidarity) was the most voted force ( although but 23%), having ensured during the campaign that Palestine was never to achieve its statehood, having loudly and provocatively stated what others, such as the Hersog Zionist “Labour” Union, have no courage to express, although belonging to the Great Israel Zionist ideology and equally being an imperialism strategy instrument in the Middle East. In any case, Netanyahu’s victory, not having been good news is not in fact “a surprise”, the media mentioned. The stage, offered to him by the “West”, namely in the rally, side-by-side with Hollande, during the mise-en- scène, following the Paris attempts and the USA Congress invitation, certainly counted for the achieved result, proving imperialism support to the Zionist Fascism. Having become more serious, as Netanyahu raises his voice against his opposition before a negotiated solution with Iran, regarding the nuclear issue, interference in Lebanon, provokes Syria from the Golan mountains, which are illegally under occupation and supporting terrorist groups, including the so-called “Islamic State”, against the Syria legitimate government. And when imperialist Fascism, militarism and interventionism dangerously grow and spread all over, from Venezuela unto the Russian and Far-East boarders.

But concerning the results of the Israel elections, one ought to consider the advance of the forces that fight against Zionism and support the Palestine people’s struggle, as the case of the Conjoint List, with the Communist Party’s participation, becoming the third electoral force, defeating the electoral engineering conjoint tricks, which aimed to remove him from the Knesset.

And, as what is necessary, is not to forget Israel has been the stage of important popular rallies, which underline the sharp contradictions that cover all the Israeli society. And moreover, the Palestine people’s struggle carries on, just as our own active solidarity ought to continue.
