Jerónimo de Sousa, General Secretary of the PCP sent the congratulations of the Portuguese Communists to Evo Morales on his re-election as President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia and on the victory of the revolutionary and progressive forces in the October 20 elections.

The General Secretary of the PCP considered that this victory not only demonstrates popular support for the progressive and emancipatory Bolivian process, but also assumes great importance in ensuring a step forward in improving the living conditions of the Bolivian workers and people and the sovereign development of Bolivia. .

A victory that also contributes to the resistance and struggle of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean faced with the intensification of the exploitative and aggressive agenda of imperialism, particularly of US imperialism, and of the oligarchies.

The Secretary General of the PCP reiterated the Portuguese Communist Party's solidarity with the Bolivian democratic process and the struggle of the Bolivian revolutionary and progressive forces to build a better future and a Bolivia of sovereignty, progress, peace, cooperation.
