Having the "development "of a new strategic concept, until the end of 2010, as a goal, NATO concluded, at the end of February, the so-called "reflexion" stage, beginning the "consultancy" phase to all its members. On what concerns Portugal, some elements of the group in charge of presenting a bidding for the strategic concept of this politic-military organization, of aggressive character, and which displacement has been announced, in mid-March, is now supposed to become of global intervention.
On this matter, its humiliating the NATO Secretary-General’s statement during the recent " Munich Security Conference", where he explained what is desired for NATO’s future.
In a dash, and after having deliberately ignored the UN Charter’s fundamental and international law principles – as a pacifist solution for the international conflicts or the non-interference in internal matters of other States –on postulating that the " territorial defence" of the NATO member states begins " out of (its) boarders", the NATO Secretary-General enumerated what he considers the new " threats", expressed at "their own will", that is, allowing the instrumentalism and militarization of the whole of the international spheres ( as an example the Haiti humanitarian aid and military intervention),interference, destabilization and military interventionism, obviously considering the USA and the European Union powers’ imperialist interests.
Before the NATO Secretary-General’s stated intentions, this organization would become "the world level consultant forum on security issues". NATO would become the "security" institution of a proclaimed "international system", which would integrate other "actors" such as the UN, EU, IMF, the World Bank or the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s), each one "holding their own positions" (political, economic, military,…), but all cooperating "for a same goal" (alias, the Afghanistan aggression is presented as being precursory of this "new way of proceeding "). And, using "the shrine of the mermaid" in order to hide "the bear hug", NATO, maliciously extends its invitation towards China and Russia – notwithstanding and before us, the outcry of reality and the hard truth of the facts…
Or in other words, NATO would assume the whole world as its field of action, diversifying its missions and unlimitedly intervening, under the pretext, of all matters, orchestrating the UN to whiten and facilitate its bellicose action (one must remind the counterverse and dangerous joint statement signed between NATO and the current UN Secretary-General, on what concerns mutual cooperation).
In conclusion, capitalist voracity, imperialism, with all its cortege of atrocities, oppression and exploitation, is confronted (always) with the Humanity’s most legitimate and elementary aspirations and needs, as it represents, in its own, its brutal denial for millions and millions of human beings. However silenced and distorted it might be, the truth is that peoples (always) endure and struggle for their freedom. Only thus one can understand imperialism’s repeated efforts to impose its colonial domination and dependency, through all forms, including the use of NATO as an aggression scheme. Therefore, militarism and war are imperialism’s prerogative, peace is peoples’ struggle.
